    When you get cravings for your substance of choice thoughts feel like facts, for example:

    "If I don't drink I can't socialize"

    Try to rephrase these thoughts as:
    "I think that if I don't drink I can't socialize"
    or
    "I notice that I am thinking again that if I don't drink I can't socialize"

    Feel the difference and see if it helps to take a different course of action.
